Biodiversity Action

Count the species: ground elder, buttercup, ivy, two grasses, and what's that thing in the middle?

Count the species: ground elder, buttercup, ivy, two grasses, and what’s that thing in the middle?

Lisacul’s Tidy Town group is putting together a biodiversity plan for the village and is looking for information from our community and voluntary groups about what each one┬ácontributes to the natural environment in Lisacul.

Specifically, Tidy Towns needs

  • a description of your group, when it was set up, what the membership is, and
  • how you help appreciate Lisacul’s plant and animal wildlife
  • pictures, if any.

You can send the information to Helen Carty via the Tidy Towns Group or send it to the Community Centre – LisaculResources@gmail.com – and we’ll pass it on.

For more information about biodiversity, you can browse the National Biodiversity Project’s website, or the biodiversity section of the Green Schools Project.
